This weekend was quite an exciting one around the bay area. The SF Marathon, Gilroy Garlic Festival, 1st Grand Prix in San Jose, Folsom St Festival, and the Stanford Pro Tennis Tournament. So did I leave anything off?
So which of the events did I end up attending? Well, none of the above actually….I ended up going out to a nice dinner at First Crush on Friday night and then walked around the city all Saturday. At dinner I learned what wine “flights” were and tried one myself. Mmmm in my mind these are known as “samplers”. Who ever came up with “flights”?? Oh well, I’ve been introduced to the finer side of wine.
So here’s the cool new tv Christie ended up buying at Video One in San Francisco. We shopped high and low until we finally got the tv & price she was looking for. She got a great deal and was sooo excited to buy it (as I was too for her). Christie then bought a nice new tv stand from IKEA and openly accepted the tv delivery at 11:30am Sunday morning.
Here it is! I’m jealous and want one too.

Now the question is, will she ever leave her home outside of going to work? If I had this new beauty sitting in my living room I would have a tough time getting off the couch.
So if just the tv and stand wasn’t enough, we then went to Best Buy to purchase a dvd player. The latest and greatest audio/video connection is now considered HDMI which stands above s-video and component connections. Luckily Christie’s new dvd player came with a HDMI cable b/c the cheapest one costed $45! Well, all in all I had a great weekend without hitting up any of the major activites I listed above.
